Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. And as with the first film, we can expect a technical benchmark of the UHD format. Wan had the entire production of the second Aquaman run under the supervision of Panavision Millennium DXL2 digital cameras in IMAX modifications, which are large-format cameras with an incredible 8k recording resolution. This SUHD video was then downsampled to 4k for post-production purposes. So the resulting master is not only native in 4k, but thanks to the raw footage in 8k, has a huge amount of source data from which to create a top-notch transfer. Moreover, as we saw with the first episode, Wan doesn't skimp on HDR work either, so in this respect you can expect nothing but absolute excellence - the colourful fantasy world is just asking for it. All in all, it may be a dumb fun, but technically Aquaman is at the absolute top.
