Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?
The second Creed, like the first, was shot with Arri Alexa XT digital cameras, which were supplemented by Alexa Mini cameras. Their 2.8k footage came together on a 2k master, making the UHDBD an upsampled transfer. Caple Jr. has largely maintained Coogler's visual style, so we can expect similar video qualities from the second installment: relatively subtle contrast, somber tones, and surprisingly impressive highlights work that adds to the film's three-dimensionality and realism, especially in the ring scenes. As always, the presence of HDR metadata is more important than resolution in the UHD version.
