Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?
Yes. Michael Mann has always been a fan of digital cameras and the visuals they convey in "raw form". So it's no surprise that he turns to digital cameras in historical films. In this case, the choice fell on Red Komodo, Red V-Raptor 8k and as the main one on Sony CineAlta Venice 2. The source material in some cases reached a whopping 8.2k. The final post-production and master were created in 4k. Ultra HD Blu-ray therefore benefits from native 4k. And, as the presence of high-end cameras suggests, it is a technological cutting-edge with reference features that makes the most of the current capabilities of 8k recording and subsequent UHD reproduction.
