Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?

Guy Ritchie shot his reimagining of Sherlock Holmes on classic 35 mm film stock (and its Super 35 variation), but for post-production purposes, the materials were scanned and finished in 2K. Although the theoretical resolution of film is considerably higher, the master was limited to 2K, and for the UHDBD release, the video has been upsampled. In the case of this disc, the upgrade is more about improving compression quality rather than resolution, since the compression on the original Blu-ray discs was relatively poor, and the VC-1 codec was already outdated even at the time of release. Naturally, you can also expect the typical benefits of an expanded color gamut and dynamic range. Thanks to all of this, it can be assumed that the UHDBD extracts the absolute maximum from the original masters, and it is highly unlikely that the film will ever look better than it does on this disc.
