Do I get Native 4k?

Yes. Star Trek's journey to 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray has been full of blind detours: the film was released on previous formats in several variations, virtually all of which were "unfinished" in some way - either they had inferior transfers, or they had unfinished effects (e.g. the effects completed in 2001 were in SD), or bad sound, etc. For the UHD release, the studio therefore decided to perform a complete restoration of the archival materials, cleaning both the original 35mm VistaVision negatives (in 4k) and the 65mm VFX tapes (in 6k and 8k), which were also digitally restored to remove any defects caused by poor compositing and optical transfers. The result is a new master in 4k that presents the film in its best technical form to date, surpassing even the original audiovisual presentation in cinemas thanks to the clean-up of the VFX sequences and the remixing of the ADR tapes into Dolby Atmos. Star Trek has simply never looked or sounded better, and given that the new master has pushed the source materials to their technological peak (by grading for HDR in addition to 4k resolution, of course), it's safe to say that the film will never look any better in the future, making this the ultimate A/V presnetation.
