Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was shot on classic 35mm film and whether the studio restored and remastered the film is questionable. If not, it will probably be from the original 2k master (post-production was already done in 2k). If so, it will be from a new 4k scan and thus master. Unfortunately, it is not yet known which option Universal has decided to go with. Anyway, as with the previous episodes, foreign reviews are enthusiastic about the new transfer. Although the third part does not bring such a big leap compared to the Blu-ray as the previous two, the excellent detail and texture work is praised here as well.
