Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Scorsese shot The Departed on analogue 35mm film, but the 35mm footage was then scanned in 2k for post-production, which was the resolution used for the final master. The UHD presentation is therefore upsampled, but we still expect a huge leap from the original Blu-ray editions. The latter were from a very old transfer, originally made for HD-DVD, and thus with the then already outdated VC-1 codec, which also had insufficient bitrate. The update to UHD is therefore going to be huge - the disc not only makes the most of the original 2k master, but also adds an HDR extension. It's safe to say that the disc makes the most of the native master and the film has never looked better - and in all likelihood never will.
