Do I get native 4k Ultra HD?

Yes. Although it may appear to be completely digitally rendered, the new Planet of the Apes is actually based on real footage of real actors and locations that have been "post-rendered" with digital effects. These dailies are based on Arri Alexa LF digital camera footage (with a little help from Blackmagic cameras) and their complete post-production, as well as the final rendering and therefore the final master, have been given 4k resolution. The Ultra HD Blu-Ray "takes" from native 4k, and due to the highly digital nature of the film, you can expect nothing but absolutely top quality with perfect sharpness and detail. The heavily saturated colours then of course, along with tightly drawn highlights, form the perfect backdrop for above average HDR. The combination of all this results in a transfer with absolute technical precision, which can be relied upon for an absolutely reference-worthy spectacle in every shot.
