Do I get native 4k ULTRA HD?

Spielberg's long-time collaborator Janusz Kaminski shot Ready Player One on two different technologies: the live-action scenes were shot on conventional analogue cameras with 35 mm film stock, while the background for the Oasis scenes was recorded by (now almost classic) Arri Alexa Plus digital cameras. In any case, the two formats met in the extremely demanding post-production of digital effects at 2k DI, which was then also the mastering format. For the purposes of the Ultra HD presentation, the film is therefore upsampled from 2k. However, in the case of the virtual world and Kaminski's camera, with its stunningly varied colour palette and copious amounts of contrast, reflection and light play, HDR and WCG are absolutely essential to this transfer. So it's great news that Dolby Vision is present on the disc alongside classic HDR-10, for which the material was already being graded under the supervision of Kaminski and Spielberg. The 100GB disc also ensures that the film has no problem "breathing" sufficiently high bitrates either.
